"Visit to A and E"

About: Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick children / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I visited A and E children's recently as my daughter had a bleeding bum. When seeing the doctor they said it was a burn and gave her burn plasters and said if it doesn't improve, being her back up and explain whats been happening to get more plasters, after an 8hr waiting time.

So today we return and explained to them whats happing, they still make us wait up to 5 hrs already, been here 3hrs just to get more of the same plasters. I think this is ridiculous and the nurse I spoke to was like well that's the waiting time. I do understand that waiting times go up when a child is screaming and in distress u think they would be a little more helpful.
