"The staff treated me with the utmost kindness"

About: Victoria Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

I was transferred to Ward 54, at Victoria Hospital and was treated for a urine infection. The care I received was excellent. I wish I had all the staff names on the shift so that they can all be recognised as true NHS heroes but realise this is a team effort.

My thanks extends to the 2 Student Nurses, domestic staff and phlebotomist. I was referred for a CT scan and whilst in the department, I received a phone call to inform me that I had suffered a close bereavement. The staff in the department treated me with the utmost kindness, care and compassion. You all are NHS heroes. Thank you.

Dear travellertj94,

Firstly, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies on behalf of the team.

We are deeply touched that you were able to post this lovely feedback at this difficult time.

The nursing staff and the wider team will be pleased to hear that you received excellent care, and that you think highly of the care you received on the ward. It really is a joint team effort and we have been fortunate to have such hardworking and eager student nurses working on the ward. Your comments will certainly be motivating to hear and I will be sure to pass your comments on to the whole team.

I hope you continue to recover, and thank you once again for taking the time to post this on Care Opinion.

Take care
