"Despite seeing therapists and trying various medications,"

About: Bluestone Unit (In-patient wards for mental health) / Cloughmore Ward

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I have  been struggling with depression and anxiety for several years. Despite seeing therapists and trying various medications, my mental health had continued to deteriorate. I finally reached a breaking point and admitted myself to Bluestone for inpatient treatment.

The first few days were overwhelming. I was in a new environment and had to adjust to the structured routine of the hospital. But now I feel I have came so far.

The staff here are 10/10 very supportive and caring. They have provided me with a personalized treatment plan, which includes individual therapy, and group therapy. I really have been enjoying the activities here like art therapy and the breathing techniques. It was only till I came here that I have brought out my artistic side and feel that it helps calm me down. The staff do include me in my treatment plan and discuss with me what is going to happen and what I need which is good as I like to know these things. I do struggle at times being here but I am trying my best to fully recover.
