(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Alcohol Reduction Support group - October 2022 to April 2023

I started my journey with ORB around 6 months ago. I knew I had a problem with drinking and I'd developed a lot of bad habits and practices around this need. Initially, I had one keyworker and attended the group sessions but then this keyworker left before Christmas. I was then assigned Becks and she has help me enormously. Her approach was as supportive as the other keyworker but was more structured and target driven. Her well informed insight, especially around psychological issues and habits, helped me find better solutions to my habitual drinking and offered practical tips and exercises to help me reach my goals. It was her support that gave me the strength to do the hard work and reach my now much more controlled state. I now have a much better relationship with alcohol and can drink socially and enjoy company like never before.

Thank you
