As soon as a problem was diagnosed I was referred by my GP to the Cardiologist that day and received a phone call to discuss my situation from the consultant the same day. A referral for surgery was made the same day and I had a pacemaker fitted within 3 days. I am 86 and the service was exceptional. I can’t thank all staff enough at my GP, Monklands Hospital and Hairmyers where the surgery was carried out. Everyone was very kind and helpful and I was taken care of very well. I am very grateful to the NHS
