(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I noticed that the shower room is a good size and could accommodate a bath. This is intended to meet different needs of hygiene freshness.

It is anticipated that if a grant is obtained to provide this fixture and fitting, which is an asset, the costs of this could be treated as any investment appraisal over time where the room-letting income stream would be matched against the expected years for realising the cost through higher room letting.

Heater- this wasn't working in the sense that it was blowing cold air.

Dear orionec48,

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback about the accommodation in the Fern Centre that you recently used.

There is only one room that could accommodate a bath and that is the Honeysuckle room, this is our wet room, all of the rooms were designed with accessibility in mind and although we appreciate a bath is your preference there will not be any changes in the immediate future, but we have recorded your comments for review in the future.

There maybe some confusion with the heating. All of the rooms are heated by underfloor heating. I think you may have been meaning the fan in the bathroom which is designed to distribute air around the wet room.

The centre is entirely funded by charitable contributions raised by the Royal Devon University Healthcare Charity Over and Above which we feel very privileged to have. I do hope you enjoyed your stay.
