I attended Hunter Health Centre for bloods this morning.
Karen was the phlebotomist assigned. When I enquired what bloods were being taken, thinking it was for 2 tests, she advised it was for much more and went through everything being screened and what it was for. She had good knowledge, a nice manner and was very efficient.
I was pleased to see the majority of visitors wearing masks but surprised that many of the staff who were walking through the reception area were unmasked.
The ventilation in reception was good (below 600ppm) and it was the first time I’ve heard the ventilation system running when I’ve attended.
The ventilation in the room was also good (below800ppm) with the window shut.
This has been the best ventilated NHS space I’ve used so far.
Is the building being monitored to maintain safe CO2 levels regularly?
"Good care experience, safe environment"
