"Extremely grateful and thankful for our NHS staff."

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

My father fell at home, couldnt move him and he had massive lump on his head.  We call SAS on 999, they gave us advice and advised there may be a wait, as he was conscious.  However they were there within the hour and James and Karen the paramedics who attended were fantastic.  Caring, calm, reassuring and very thorough.  They got us to Glasgow Royal Infirmary were the staff there at A&E and all the supporting staff were excellent.  Whilst there were long waits, he was cared for with kindness and compassion. Extremely grateful and thankful for our NHS staff.

Dear MD

Thank you for sharing your story.

It must have been a very worrying time so I am glad to read that you are happy with the care your father received.

If you would like me to pas on your kind words to James and Karen may I ask that you contact our Patient Experience Team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, Care Opinion name, your father's name and the date and address we attended.

I do hope your father is recovering well.

Kindest regards

David

Dear MD

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Care Opinion.

I was sorry to hear your father had to attend the A&E Department of the Glasgow Royal Infirmary after falling at home. I can only begin to imagine how worried you and your family must have been.

I was however happy to hear the staff took good care of your father when he arrived in the department and made him feel welcomed.

I have passed on your thanks to the staff who have asked me to thank you for your kind words.

Kind regards

Kevin
