My mum was admitted to Dr Gray's in Elgin in January for a suspected heart attack after suffering chest and shoulder pains and tingling down her left arm.
She was in the CDU off A&E for 5 days undergoing tests before being transferred to ARI for treatment. The staff in A&E and CDU were all very caring and helpful despite how busy they were every day. The service was extremely swamped during this time with people on beds in the corridors of A&E and also my mum and another patient both in CDU several days awaiting transfer to the ARI by ambulance.Overall, my mum and family thought the nurses and doctors were brilliant considering the conditions they were working in, they remained upbeat despite being obviously overworked and over stretched.
She was also pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of food available to patients.
