"It is a pleasure to see them"

About: Community Nursing Services / Nottingham West Community Nursing

(as a carer),

Started a year ago with my mother getting a red sore on her ankle. Unable to get GP appt and told to send in photo. Eventually referred to cancer team at QMC. Not believed cancerous, given creams and follow up. Follow up with cancer nurse told to use creams and let air get at it. Got worse and had biopsy (awaiting results).

This is when District Nurses got involved to dress wound. What a difference. Lovely ladies, efficient, reassuring and genuinely dedicated to getting my mother healed and moving. Early days as only the 2nd week, but feel now something being done and not just being fobbed off. They have such a sincere caring attitude, it is a pleasure to see them. Cannot praise them highly enough. Feel if we had seen them earlier this would have been healed sooner and not put my mother through a year of unnecessary pain.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback about our community nursing service. It is really pleasing to hear your experience has been positive and I hope that the wound is continuing to improve and will soon be healed.

I will share the feedback with the team.
