"My stay in Crieff Community Hospital, Perthshire."

About: Crieff Community Hospital / Community In-Patient Wards

(as the patient),

In February 2023 I was transferred from Ninewells Hospital to Crieff Community Hospital following two major orthopaedic operations for rehabilitation. I was then found to be Covid positive.

Very quickly I was moved to a single room where I was nursed in isolation until I tested negative for Covid.

During this time I continued my rehabilitation for a fractured pelvis and total hip replacement.

The stay on Ward 2 turned a traumatic experience into a positive one.

Now retired, I worked for the NHS for many years, it was a privilege to witness excellent nursing skills and patients being treated by by caring and courteous staff.

I must also mention the food. The menus were varied. the food nutritious and delicious.

All of these things were conducive to a successful rehabilitation.

My thanks to Crieff Community Hospital.
