I came in on Friday 10th March for a planned surgery for endometriosis and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome.
The nurses who got me ready were fantastic, and helped me cover my piercings that I couldn’t remove. We had a bit of a laugh too as they weren’t expecting some of them haha.
I went down for my op first due to allergies with latex. The anesthetic dr was amazing, as I was being prepped I suddenly felt very scared and I started to cry. The dr soothed me and wiped my tears and looked after me which I am forever grateful for.
When I woke, I was in recovery and the two nurses who took care of me were an absolute joy. I can’t drop names but honestly they were fantastic. I was alert and could laugh and joke with them, they gave me coffee and cookies and some good morphine. We had a few laughs and honestly I feel they deserve a shout out. Please make sure this gets back to them at theatre admissions unit.
When I went back to the ward, I was helped to the bathroom as walking was a bit iffy but I was in wonderful hands.
All of the ward staff were absolutely amazing and I’m forever thankful for their kindness and compassion.
Northwick Park gets some really bad press but its staff can’t be blamed for that, especially when they work so hard to make patient’s comfortable and calm.
My drs were absolutely pro. They explained everything and let me feel the news. They showed me and made it clear what the next steps would be and provided me with great clarity to my surgery outcome.
Way better than my 1st experience with endo and surgery.
Thank you so much and well done for for being awesome at what you do.
I have no more words to explain how appreciative I am of the care I received and that is without a doubt the best compliment. I can talk for hours so to leave me speechless is it’s own win.
Thank you again staff at theatre admissions unit, Northwick Park. You guys rock.
"Amazing care and staff were phenomenal. "
