About: University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care University Hospital Wishaw / Theatres, Recovery & Anaesthetics

(as the patient),

In early March my husband and I went for our scan at 10 weeks and 4 days due to previous miscarriage. We were told that our baby had stopped growing and there was no further growth from 2 weeks previous, all our options were spoken through and I opted for surgical management under general anaesthetic.

Mid March I arrived at the EPAS ward for my surgery, my midwife Amy was amazing she went above and beyond explaining everything and going through our options. All the theatre staff, consultant and anaesthetists were nothing short of amazing. This is one of the hardest experiences we have ever endured and all the amazing staff made sure this was a little more bareable. Please pass on our thanks to all the amazing team

Dear SD94,

Thank you for sharing your recent experience on Care Opinion. I am so sorry for you and your husbands loss. I cannot imagine how you must be feeling.

I am so pleased that our professional and compassionate team looked after you and kept you informed both during your surgery but also while explaining the options to you.

I will share your kind feedback with the whole team who will be happy that they have went some way to help you and your husband during this difficult time.

Kind Regards,

Jenni
