"Contraceptive Inplant replacement"

I arrived at the clinic and was given a really friendly welcome and clear instructions to sit and wait. I was greeted by Janette to come through for the procedure and she was so friendly I felt at ease straight away.

We went through all of the medication I was taking, how I had got on with the implant and if I had any concerns. She did recommend a pregnancy test just in case as the implant had expired and even though unlikely, she wanted to be ethically sure before putting me through the procedure. I felt relaxed, informed and more importantly confident in how I was being looked after the whole way through. Janette was lovely, it did feel like a friend was doing it for me to be honest. She told me everything that was going to happen and everything that was happening as we went through the procedure including any sounds, feels or sensations that may occur.

As I was leaving she checked I was ok, gave me aftercare instructions and things to look out for where I should seek medical help, she also gave me condoms for the initial period of time while the implant kicks in. She was absolutely brilliant, I even asked if I could pre-book her for the next one. If she does get to read this, Janette you are amazing! I would definitely recommend her and the Cobridge clinic to anyone who needed contraceptive or sexual health advice.
