My 9 year old child attended the hospital for a tonsillectomy. From the moment we arrived at the ward, it was clear that they were organised and concerned for the children's welfare. The ward was spotless, airy and had a cheerful atmosphere. Throughout the operation we were kept informed of options and potential outcomes. The operation treatment rooms/post op recovery ward was staffed with professional kind staff. In our situation, my child was a little distressed about the pain after the operation, but the staff immediately offered pain relief and comfort. On leaving the hospital we were given a full briefing of the next stage, together with details about what to do in the event of problems. Altogether a very good experience. My thanks to clinician and the nursing team led.
