My shoulder and arm had been very painful for about 3 years from unknown causes. After months of pain and lack of sleep it was suggested I may have Polymyalgea, so was given a dose of steroids.
When we moved home the new doctor in Langholm picked up on this and examined me. The doctor diagnosed a rotator cuff injury and referred me to X-ray and was given a shoulder steroid which helped. Came off the tablet steroids and took tramadol instead.
Was referred to physio. At Lockerbie I was seen by Sinead who examined me, and after diagnosis gave me some tension exercises which gradually, over 4 months, relieved the pain and helped strengthen the muscles so I can use my right arm again. It’s still ongoing, but I can sit and lay down without severe discomfort.
