"Such an invaluable resource"

About: Early Years Workers / Early Years Workers - Perth & Kinross

(as a parent/guardian),

We were really struggling with our baby who was refusing all solid food, it was very distressing to watch him become so emotional over us trying to encourage him to eat, we were deflated and upset at why he wasn't progressing with his eating.

Our health visitor referred us to the early years workers, and we met with Pauline. She came to observe our baby and offered practical tips to implement, and explained how we could help. With persistence and perseverance our little one has cut down his milk intake by over half and is now starting to eat a variety of foods.

At our last visit I also mentioned some other concerns to Pauline which were outside of the reasons for her visit, but again, she directed us to resources that could help us, and also escalated our concerns officially to our health visitor for follow up.

Our experience with the early years workers has been nothing but positive, and we have really found them such an invaluable resource. Thank you!

Dear parent,

Thank you very much for taking the time to submit feedback about the support and guidance you have received from the Early Years Worker within the Health Visiting Service.

Feedback is extremely important to our service as it allows us to make improvements when this may be required and also allows us to celebrate areas of practice that we are doing well.

Early Years Workers, as you quite rightly say, are invaluable members of the Health Visiting Service and work closely with health visitors to provide intensive periods of specialist support for children and families.

I am delighted to hear that the input and guidance you received from the Early Years worker has helped to resolve the feeding issue and has also introduced you to another beneficial source of support.

Kindest Regards

Audrey
