"What a relief off my shoulders it was"

About: Mental Health Community Services / Pain Management Program

(as a service user),

I have been suffering chronic pain for a long time but never got anywhere or help how to manage it, until I got the opportunity to join PMP.

To be honest at first I thought "here we go" -  2 hours a week, but after the 1st zoom session I thought this maybe might help me to understand a bit more how to control my pains.

As the weeks went by I loved the sessions, as they covered everything -  we had talks, videos, exercises, mental health issues and explaining medication.

I found myself coming out of a dark place mentally, opening up to my family, and being honest on how I was feeling and not able to do the things I could do a few years ago, and what a relief off my shoulders it was.

I would suggest anyone who like me is so sore and can't be bothered get on this PMP (pain management programme), it is normal people just like you and me there to help you, and each and every one who takes the course are non-judgmental.

Thank you.

Hi, my name is Donna and I am the Team Leader for the Pain Management Programme. Thankyou for taking the time to provide care opinion with some lovely feedback about the Pain Management Programme (PMP).

I am so glad to read that although you were unsure initially about attending the PMP, you gave it ago and you loved all the aspects of the PMP.

Delighted that you have been able to open up to your family about how you had been feeling and that this has been a relief off your shoulders.

I will share you very kind feedback with all the staff involved in the PMP.

Many thanks Donna
