"Colonoscopy Appointment"

About: Endoscopy Unit / Vanguard Endoscopy Unit

(as the patient),

I felt my appointment was almost an inconvenience for the nursing bank staff at Ninewells.  They spoke about getting finished early to get home quicker, while at their station. I had sedation but on my results form they put I had Entonox.

After my procedure, I was dressed and up and sitting in a chair so they could make the bed, before I was even compos mentis, no blood pressure etc was taken, they were too busy tidying up to get away.  The endoscopist was changed out of his scrubs and gone, while I was still sitting in the chair. I wasn't even aware there was a report. I found it in my bag later.  I wondered perhaps if using staff who live so far from Ninewells is not the best idea when they just want home.
