"Cancellation twice of surgery to remove my gallbladder"

I was due to have my gallbladder removed mid February this year, I was sat in the hospital all gowned up ready to go to theatre and my surgeon came in to tell me he would be cancelling my surgery as his last operation was more complicated than he thought. I was sent a new date for the beginning of March 2023.

I received a phone call from the hospital yesterday afternoon to say that my surgeon has cancelled my operation as he has seen something in my blood test. I had at my pre op and wants me to have another scan

I am so upset as I have been in constant pain since June last year. I am being sick on a regular basis and my stomach is so bloated I look like I am about 8 months pregnant which I am not and could not be as I had a full hysterectomy in 2007.

I am also slightly confused that the surgeon who was going to do my operation the first time didn't say anything about my blood test results and only cancelled due to a complicated surgery before me. 

I am getting worried about this as other than saying he saw something in my blood test and wants me to have another scan I wasn't told what was seen that concerned my surgeon enough to cancel my surgery.

I just hope I have a scan date for sooner rather than later as I don't honestly know how much longer I can cope with it
