"Fabulous service in A&E"

About: Mater Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

My mum was very unfortunate to have had a fall and broken her ankle. We attended the Mater A&E department for assessment. Being employed by the NHS myself I know only too well the pressures that staff are under, but that did not affect our experience in the Mater.

The lovely greeting from both the security at the gate and admin staff in the A&E department, the extremely swift assessment by the fantastic ENP Alastair, the quick imaging from the radiographer and then back to Alastair again. My mum was in and out, diagnosed and treated and review arranged, all in less than an hour, on a busy Friday afternoon.

We were both completely blown away by the service, full credit goes to all of the staff involved. Well done and thank you for making a not so pleasant incident, so good!

Dear LindaE,

Thank you so much for the fantastic feedback. It is very much appreciated. I am so pleased your Mum had such a positive experience and I hope she makes a full and swift recovery.

Best Wishes
