I tried to book an appointment for a 67year old gentleman whom I often help as his friend. He is suffering with a hernia and is clinically vulnerable, also with pulmonary hypertension and of other ailments. He does not have internet access. I telephoned Walkley House reception in order to make an appointment for him to see the doctor, only to be told he had to use a Klinik Access form, I explained that he did not have internet access and the rude receptionist insisted that I did so why don't I do it! I tried to access the system and was unable to download the required form, clearly the system is not working. The receptionist then agreed to do the form which took around half a minute informing me that the next stage is for the doctor to phone the patient but did not know when this might be. This is a highly unsatisfactory situation and no good for anyone without internet access but even then the form can't be downloaded and no appointment in sight. Now at the end of my tether with the attitude of this practice I have organised for the patient to go elsewhere, they registered him within an hour and have a fully working reception to be able to book patient appointments. Is Walkley House now a bespoke service for internet users only? What utter nonsense!
