About: Outpatients Services / Children’s Eye Multi-Disciplinary Clinic

(as a parent/guardian),

My 4 year old son has been attending outpatients here since just after birth. Every time we attend he is treated with respect, dignity and in a way that he can understand what is happening. As he sees a number of health care professionals in one appointment it can be a long and tiring day for both of us and sometimes the appointments don't always go to plan. We visited today for a review and I as a Parent was extremely anxious as his appointments haven't been going well. From the moment we entered the clinic until we left I was overwhelmed with the passion, care and kindness of every single person we came in to contact with. My son was made to feel brave, confident, comfortable and we managed to get all examinations done. This department and team are incredible and I will be forever thankful for their care. Today just made me feel extra special in how they took care of my son. Thank you.

I am so pleased to hear that you and your son had such a positive experience whilst visiting our Children's Eye department. I am sorry that I didn't come back to you at the time but wish to reassure you that your lovely comments were passed on to the team at the time and they were very pleased to learn that your son was made to feel brave, confident and comfortable whist getting all his examinations done.

We understand that multi professional eye clinic appointments can be long and challenging for children and their parents so it is great to hear that your son was well supported and made to feel at ease.
