Saw a clinician for an appointment and they advised patient to go to reception to book in for some bloods.
When we asked at the reception, the receptionist stated they couldn’t do this - their sole job is to book GP appointment and anything else they can’t do!
They stated I needed to go home and ring the Practice so someone else could book an appointment for bloods! And this was the system they have in place - you cannot book for a bloods appointment in person! No concern as to whether I had access to a phone or the credit to even ring - how is this an acceptable practice to have in operation?
I then asked to speak to manegement - I was told that this wouldn't be possible, making things even more ridiculous! I have been told that others have had issues with getting to speak to senior practice staff as well.
Surely you can do better than this - a reception that can only book GP appts, and patients unable to speak to anyone in charge.
