"Certainly no dinosaur"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Daughter had fallen and had a painful and very bruised elbow which she could not extend.

Advised by 111 to attend minor injuries within ED at UHM.

Within 1.5 hrs maximum, she was seen, examined, crated and discharged with advice. Staff were courteous and friendly and made her feel at ease as she was mortified at having to attend when our hospital services are under such immense pressure.

There was a paramedic advanced practitioner within the dept and it all felt very like business as usual. Well done Monklands. It might be the oldest in the nhsl acute hospital fleet but it is certainly no dinosaur.
