"No help with pain management"

About: Borders General Practices

(as the patient),

The receptionist at the Health Centre seemed quite helpful but was only passing on a message from the doctor.  The doctor wanted to speak to me regarding my medication, but apparently wasn’t able to speak to me that day and I could maybe speak to them in a week? Sorry but how is that helpful when I am trying to manage moderate pain? How is this helping my mental health. I feel this is cruel and totally unacceptable to me.

I have filled out a feedback form but no one at the health centre has been in contact with me regarding this.

As I have already been referred to the mesh centre , I feel that no doctor wants to help . Not enough doctors know enough about Vaginal Mesh Erosion. I feel let down and my pain remains unaddressed.

Dear MLa22

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties in accessing support for your pain management at your GP.

In order for me to look into this for you, can I please ask that you email me directly at the following email address with your name, date of birth and the name of the GP practice that you are registered with?

My email address is karen.maitland@borders.scot.nhs.uk

Once I have received this information, I will ensure it is shared with your GP practice in order for you to receive a response on this issue,

Thanks
Karen
