"Fantastic end of life care"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency North Devon District Hospital / End of life care North Devon District Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit (Alexandra Ward)

(as a relative),

My mother in law, who had severe dementia was brought to hospital by ambulance last week due to a rapid deterioration in her condition over night.

The care she received from A+E, MAU and Roborough was excellent.

Communication to my Father in law and family was thorough and clear and put him ease.

The care she received from each area was dignified and compassionate at all times.

Her family were looked after and made comfortable also, with a bed for my father in law to sleep in over night so that he could stay with her in her final days and lots of offers of cups of tea!

I am aware of how busy the hospital is and how much pressure the staff are under, however this was never apparent - all of the staff involved made us all feel very well cared for. Thank you.
