"Leaving me in complete discomfort"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I was told I needed an urgent 2 week referral as I have a very large ovarian mass measuring over 6cm that was discovered by accident when I had a CT scan.  Two days before my appointment I was told it would be a phone call appointment.

The day of my appointment the consultant said I would discharged.  They took no family history, none of my medical history, then told me I had IBS. All of this was done in a 4 minute phone call. No follow up tests or care,  nothing.

I have made a complaint to PALS they passed this on to the service manager but I am still waiting for any response. Now I have had to go back to my GP to get referred again, leaving me in complete discomfort with this mass growing inside me with no where to turn to and just wait for however long until I’m actually seen.
