My Dad was back at St John’s Hospital today for some minor day surgery.
We are now on our way home and Dad is telling me about how kind and empathetic everyone has been to him, from the staff at reception onwards.
Special mentions for student nurse, Steph, who took our details on arrival, staff nurse Kirsty, who looked after him over the course of the day, and of course, the surgeon, Mr Addison, who explained the plans carefully before the operation, and kindly phoned me after it was done to let me know it had all gone to plan.
In an era when the NHS is receiving a lot of criticism, my Dad, and all our family, have been hugely impressed with the high quality and prompt treatment that he has received.
