"Nothing but praise for all the staff"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I was in for day surgery for knee surgery - anaesthetized manipulation.  All departments from the receptionist to after care could not have been more helpful and friendly, As I am deaf there was issue with the mask and lip reading but everyone understood and went out their way to help me, they made such effort to reassure me and keep me calm.

The after care was very good too - well looked after and explained all that happened to me.  The nurse, John, uses BSL and helped me follow things in  recovery and helped using BSL if I did not follow what staff saying.

The consultant and his secretary great as well as the physiotherapy team

Bad thing car parking !

Nothing but praise for all the staff

Dear Hapcc45

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback following your knee surgery. I am pleased to read that staff were helpful and friendly and that John could support you with BSL.

I will share your comments with the wider team who will appreciate your kind words. I also note your comment regarding car parking and would like to assure you that there is ongoing work to address this issue. I understand how difficult parking can be for both patients and staff. My sincere apologies that this continues to be an issue.

I hope that you are recovering well and thank you again.

Kind regards

Lise
