"My wife's time at the centre"

About: Day Services

(as a carer),

My wife goes two days a week to the day care centre.  She gets picked up at the house and dropped off at the house. She enjoys spending time there with both staff and other users.

It is a great source of respite for me and my wife.  The staff are doing a great job, all done with a smile and a "nothing's to much bother" attitude so it's thanks a million to the driver and all staff.Cheers

Good Morning

Thank you for taking the time to feedback and It is lovely to hear that you are both benefiting from your wife's time at the local Day Care Centre.

The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 introduced rights for unpaid carers and is a key piece of legislation that promises to promote, defend and extend the rights of adult carers and young carers across Scotland. It is important that you have a break from your caring role, and the opportunity look after your own health and wellbeing.

For more information on local and national support check out NAHSCP website under 'Support for Carers' section. You can also contact your local carers service on 01294 311333 for further information, support and advice.
