"Excellent level of care"

About: Oncology / Cancer Centre Ward 2B Oncology / Cancer Centre Ward 3B

(as a relative),

My Partner was in having his radiation at Belfast City Hospital and taken Ill. I asked if a doctor would take a look at him. Within 15 mins a doctor (Gerard) was with us and quickly admitted him to hospital. Gerard was so lovely and made my partner and I feel at ease very quickly.

My partner was put on a drip and half an hour later was admitted to Ward 3B. The next day he was then moved down to Ward 2B. He spent two weeks in the cancer ward and the level of care was excellent. The Nursing staff was very good, my partner and other patients praised them for being very attentive and caring and acting quickly when not well. Even the lady coming round with the tea was very attentive and catered to their needs.

Staff nurse Melissa was amazing. Very friendly and made my partner feel at ease and had a bit of craic with him. I did not catch all the other nurses and nursing assistants' names, but I just want to say that they do an amazing job and I think they certainly don't get enough praise and money for the amazing work they do.

Everybody is always quick to leave a bad review, but we should promote more positive reviews about the hard work these people do every day.
