"Lucky to have been treated here."

About: Western General Hospital / Oncology

(as a service user),

I have been looked after by the WGH for the past year and through their care and dedication I am now on the way to full recovery. I was diagnosed with High Grade Sirus Ovarian cancer stage 3c last March. There followed a 7 hour operation and then chemo, it’s been very difficult and I couldn’t have managed without the support I received throughout.

Every single member of staff that I came into contact with at the WGH were exemplary, not just the Drs, surgeons and nurses but the assistants, cleaners, porters and admin staff too. It’s not often you can say that about a place but it’s true for WGH and I feel extremely lucky to have been treated there. Thank you all.
