"Care, understanding, respect - which I received at my visit"

About: Enhanced Care / Heart Failure Service

(as the patient),

I have heart failure apart from some other illnesses. I am 79 years of age. Today I had cause to attend a review at heart failure clinic. It was my first time at the clinic.

The nurse in charge, Edith, was the model of what someone in her position should be. She explained why the cardiologist had recommended this review, she explained why she was carrying out the tests and the results of these tests and the significance of the results

Nurse Edith gave me respect (treating me as a responsible adult) she gave me confidence to go ahead with my treatment and made some decisions for a way forward. It was an experience of healing and care. Thanks.
