"No one turned up"

About: Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust

(as the patient),

I had a hip replacement at the Royal Free Hospital and was discharged 3 days later. They told me to make sure that the dressing does not get wet and if there’s signs of bleeding, I should get in touch with my GP as if it gets infected it could damage my lungs.

My carer said I should get in touch with my GP as the wound seem to be leaking. Yesterday morning I rang my GP, who said they would request a district nurse to come and have a look at the dressing.

Later yesterday the district nurse rang and said someone would come today. I told her I was worried in case it would damage my lungs. They said it was not urgent and not to tell them what to do. No one turned up today!
