"The value of the multi-faceted care provision"

For last 8 weeks l have had the support of Zoe, Physio Support Worker, Domiciliary Physio Service, Brooksby, Largs, North Ayrshire. Today Zoe bade me goodbye after providing outstanding care and advice over these long winter weeks. As l reflect on this, my first experience of a regular  visit from an nhs specialist, l surely realise the value of the multi-faceted care provision, free at the point of delivery, making such a singularly vital component of our lives here in UK! 

In particular, Zoe was a most pleasant visitor to my home but came as a highly motivated,  knowledgeable and competent health professional. She was here to perform a task requiring skill, patience and an understanding of how to pass on detailed instructions to best ensure positive outcomes for her patients. Her breadth of knowledge was clearly evident; she assessed risk as a priority and did so with care and attention to detail that inspired confidence in her judgements; she was observant of details that the patient (ie me,) would never have considered as matters of risk; she was thorough to the extent of accessing other relevant services on my behalf; she engaged easily making her visits pleasantly comfortable; she kept me fully informed at all times. From my perspective Zoe has been a much welcomed and positive ‘intervention’ in my life. Her work on my behalf has been highly respected and appreciated by both my wife and myself!
