"I have never experienced a Ward Manager who is so visible"

About: Ealing Hospital

(as a relative),

My brother has been a patient on the 6 North ward at Ealing Hospital for the past 6 weeks or so.

My brother has received excellent care during his stay and all being well, he will be discharged this week.

There are a number of staff that I would like to thank and will do so under separate cover - but there is one member of staff that is worthy of special mention.

Please pass on my personal thanks to Julie, the Ward Manager.

I have never experienced a Ward Manager who is so visible - she leads by example, is clearly well liked and well respected by her team. 

Julie does not ‘hide’ in an office - every time that I have visited and she has been working, she is always ‘on the floor’ leading by example. 

Julie often answers the phone when I ring for an update - when have you ever known a Ward Manager do that? 

Always has a smile on her face too. 

Brilliant.

Julie is an absolute credit to the NHS - she has gone out of her way to help my brother and my family during this difficult time and I thank her from the bottom of my heart.
