"Steroid hand injection for arthritis"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had steroid hand injection for arthritis. I was made to feel relaxed and comfortable right from beginning on arrival. Procedure was explained before going ahead. From nurses to Dr and theatre staff were all  reassuring and asked how I was right the way through procedure, bedside manner was excellent. On going back to recovery room I was given a hot cup of tea and something to eat of my choice.

Nothing was too much trouble for any of the nurses, kind and understanding. Had a small hiccup and Dr came within minutes giving me treatment immediately, and told if did not improve to call her back right away. Given full advise on after care. I Could not have asked for better! Thank you to a wonderful and committed team x
