"Excellent care"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I had a fall yesterday and attended Hairmyres A&E Dept with an arm injury.  Although the department was busy I was triaged promptly by a lovely nurse, Frances, who treated my wound and reassured me.  I then waited back out in waiting room to be called and taken to minor injuries.  I was then seen in Minor Injuries by a wonderful nurse called Janette who took great care of me showing me patience and helping me as needed due to my arm injury.  After an x-ray and wound care I was then transferred to UHW with an elbow fracture and given further great care.  Thanks so much to both nurses who helped me yesterday at UHH with a painful injury ensuring I was kept comfortable and up to date on my care.  Keep up the great work!

Dear AngiM79

Thank you for taking the time to share such lovely feedback after injuring your arm. Frances and Jeanette will be delighted with your positive comments and to hear that you also received great care at UHW.

It sounds like you had a painful injury and I am pleased to read that you felt cared for, supported and reassured. I hope that you are now recovering and that your fractured elbow heals well.

Thank you again.

Kind regards

Lise
