"Very impressed"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Medical Oncology Crosshouse Hospital / Xrays & Scans University Hospital Ayr / X-rays and Scans

(as the patient),

Referral by my GP to the Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service at Crosshouse in Mid Dec 2022. The following week I had a phone call from RCDS Senior Nurse, Rhona, to discuss my current condition /symptoms etc. A CT Scan  was organized for early January & duly carried out. Follow up face-to-face discussion and full explanation on results (fortunately no malignance). MRI recommended to substantiate results. This carried out at Ayr University Hospital at the end of January

I was contacted by S.N. Scott at the start of February with confirmation of no major concerns and that a further scan in 6 months to check status will be planned.

From start to finish have been very impressed and satisfied with all the NHS staff that I encountered. Professional and friendly with an air of calm confidence in what they were doing which puts the patient at ease.

Really impressed with the time frame that all the above was covered.

Dear I M Jolly

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely feedback, I am very happy to hear that everything went well for you, and even more that there was nothing malignant on your scan. The RCDS service is still relatively new, so it is really encouraging to see positive feedback and hear patient stories like yours. I'll make sure to pass this on to Rhona and the team, I'm sure they will be delighted.

Very best wishes,

Tracy
