In January 2023, I was seen by my GP Dr Nechev and a medical student at Mistylaw Medical practice in Beith. They quickly assessed that I required hospitalisation and promptly made arrangements for me to attend IRH H Centre.
On Arrival I met Christina the ANP who assessed me, took bloods and explained that xrays and a CT Scan would be arranged. Shelley, a staff nurse and the Registrar, whose name escapes me, were also involved in my care.
All investigations were carried out timeously and I was kept informed at all at times.
A diagnosis of acute flare of Crohns disease was made and I was transferred to H North for 48hrs, to receive IV fluids and Hydrocortisone.
The care I received in these 2 wards was excellent. The staff were kind and attentive and explained fully all procedures.
Many thanks to all the staff involved in my care, I am extremely grateful and am now recovering well.
