"Children’s A&E & rainbow ward"

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary

We brought our 10 week old son into A&E after he presented symptoms of something being seriously wrong, within minutes of seeing him the triage team in A&E got him started on antibiotics and treated him for worse case scenario (sepsis) straight away, we were then moved up onto rainbow wars within 3 hours of getting to the hospital, within 24 hours we had a confirmed diagnosis of meningitis and luckily we had got him there and the staff treated him so quickly that he should make a full recovery, I’ll be forever grateful to both the nurses and doctors in A&E & rainbow ward for saving his life

Thank you for taking the time to post about your experience, this must have been a very worrying time for you. I will share your kind words with the teams in A&E and on Rainbow ward. May I wish your son and you well with his recovery.

Yours sincerely
