My child was getting scopes done. I was nervous for him but he has had this done before so knew the procedure.

Thanks so much for your feedback.

We can empathise with you regarding feeling nervous about your son having a scope, it can be really daunting to support a child going through a clinical procedure, I'm so glad to read that he was prepared for the essential care he was going to receive.

It may help to note that we have our specialised Health Play Service that can prepare a child for most clinical procedures through the use of play. It's quite common for parents to feedback that they have also felt the benefit, as they can see their child become more confident about their clinical care. If you think this might be of benefit to you, ask your nurse or doctor for a referral to our Specialist Play Service.
