"They explained everything fully"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology Services Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiology (X-rays and Scans) General Practices in Grampian

(as a service user),

I had an issue that caused me to contact my GP. The reception staff were friendly, knowledgeable & efficient and said I required a face-to-face appointment. This was organised in under a week. My GP was thorough and explained I required bloods and a referral to ARI. Bloods were done the next day through the Community Treatment Centre. The staff here were welcoming and efficient. My blood results were communicated back to me by the Practice staff in 5 days. My appointment for ARI arrived and I have had my Ultrasound scan. The Radiology staff were superb. They explained everything fully and were able to deliver results at that point.

This whole process has been completed in just under 3 weeks. This is amazing! I know that the NHS remains under huge pressure but it is still delivering first class care on a daily basis and I wanted to acknowledge how wonderful this is. My grateful thanks to my GP Practice, CTAC, Gynaecology and Radiology at ARI.

Dear Grateful3,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, it really is great to read examples of care journeys working well when the system is under pressure.

I'd like to be able to share this with the GP practice you visited and wondered if you could send through the practice name? I know they will be delighted to know that you appreciated their help and efficiency. If you feel comfortable doing this you can post on this thread, send me an email (kirsten.dickson@nhs.scot) or phone / text me on 07885720267.

Take care,

Kirsten

Update posted by Grateful3 (a service user)

Thank you Kirsten. My practice is Gilbert Road Medical Group. I wasn’t sure if they could access Care Opinion so did contact them but I am very happy for you to also share this.
