Generally looked after well. It's good we have the community ward meetings because they listen to you. The support worker has time for you as do some of the restart and recovery staff in OT.
Wayne the support worker is fantastic and Francesca took me to see my husband in the cardiac unit. She went the extra mile, caring. She pushed me in my hospital wheelchair. Please tell Wayne and Francesca how much they're appreciated.
One thing you could improve is how you deal with disruptive patients. It's wrong that you have to be loud and aggressive to be listened to. The quiet ones are ignored which isn't fair or right.
Also I had my meal arrangements changed without asking how I felt and no-one explained things to me - really upsetting.
Two students on the wards have been wonderful, doing all the little things that make such a big difference because you feel invisible when the rest of the staff don't have a minute to spare. I hate the term service user - I am a patient, NOT a user of anything.
