"Everyone who saw me could not have been better"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic Outpatient Department Trauma & Orthopaedics / Orthopaedic Outpatients

(as a service user),

I broke my arm. My wife drove me from Pitlochry to PRI A&E. I was home with a brace fitted within 4 hrs.

5 weeks later I was seen by the consultant at Ninewells and everything was extremely efficient. From consultant, registrar, nurse and vascular scan.

They would have seen me 6 weeks later, but when I pointed out maybe getting to Ninewells in the middle of January, they were happy to refer me to PRI. I attended PRI every week to get my brace removed and arm washed. All appointments were in reasonable time and the treatment was excellent (the pleasure of having the brace off and arm washed is so good).

Today I was x-rayed,  and consultant allowed me to have the brace off and saw physiotherapist to start exercises. Everyone who saw me - from porters receptionist nurses, physiotherapist and doctors -  could not have been better.

Dear swingbh43,

I was pleased to hear that you were seen within a good timeframe in the A&E Department and that you have had a positive experience with all the services you have attended. I hope your injury continues to improve
