I was admitted to ward 206 transplant for what turned out to be a infection in my native kidney as I had my Kidney transplant back at the beginning of December last year.
I phoned Dr Metcalfe who told me to come in to 206 Transplant so on arrival in the unit I was shown to my bed space where I soon had a cannula placed in my arm where all my bloods were taken for labs and cultures . I was then seen by the team of doctors whom I already knew some of them from previous stays in the ward those I didn’t know introduced them self’s to me.
Once Dr's were finished the domestic’s got me water and was always happy to get me more. I felt I got treated really well by all staff, nurses were always prompt with my medication . When it came to me to being discharged home the nurses made sure I had enough of my medication, also I didn’t have to hang about to get my discharged letter which was all ready before I was ready for home
