My 9 year old son injured his foot skateboarding. We took him to Tameside hospital A&E, having taken his details they gave him a wheelchair and sent him straight up to paediatrics A&E. He was seen immediately and quickly given medication for the pain. His foot was assessed and he was sent for an x-ray. We waited only 25 mins for the x-ray and it was quickly ascertained that he had broken 2 bones in his foot. He was then given a supportive boot to wear and crutches along with advice on how to manage the pain and support his recovery. All in all we were in and out of the hospital within 1.5 hours which was fantastic. Such a positive experience, thank you to everyone involved.
"Such a positive A&E experience"
