"It helped me to feel safe in the present time"

About: Change Grow Live Cambridgeshire / Huntingdon

(as a service user),

I joined CGL last year and received an invitation to do ‘seeking safety’ which is a 12 week course that helps people suffering with cPTSD. It helped me to feel safe in the present time and to understand what was happening in my brain. Dr Brown was an incredible facilitator, she is very kind and compassionate and always helped me feel confident enough to share my own experiences. She was never judgemental or distracted, Dr Brown was always focused and warm. She made me feel important and asked appropriate questions to help me explore how I was feeling in a safe and comfortable way. I can’t praise her enough. Thank you Dr Brown!

Hi AnnabelB32

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this feedback. We are fortunate enough to have a fantastic Psychology team as part of our overall service. Dr Brown is part of that and I agree she is all of the thins that you mention. Its really important that people get the support that they need and we can only play our part if individual participates and engages in their recovery.

Ill certainly pass your feedback on!

Thanks again.

Paul
