"Use of mobile phones"

About: Newark Hospital

Whilst attending an appointment in the Eastwood Centre, another patient was using a mobile phone. The business advice details being discussed were totally inappropriate, containing insensitive subject matter, particularly in a setting such as this. The voice was so loud it could be heard throughout the area, I was in the next corridor! This mobile phone conversation, which lasted in excess of 10 minutes should have been stopped by staff, there were several staff in the area and the office door stood open. Confrontation is not pleasant for anyone, but was totally necessary in this instance. I actually thought of leaving before seeing the consultant, but that would have been detrimental to me and would not have helped my medical situation.
